The ideal first topic to discuss on my new blogging venture. With nearly a decade of working with couples, I am here to share my knowledge from over the years and also the value of service we provide. I have seen where professional guidance has saved our couples hours and hours of endless research and avoiding costly mistakes in their wedding planning process.
You might expect the top reasons to be the tasks that are the most time consuming for the wedding planner, but I believe the real value comes from how a wedding planner can make the time between engagement and your wedding day the most fun and magical, so that you look back on all the fond memories from the day you got engaged. Not just focused on the one day you got married and try and convince yourself all the stress was worth it for that one day.
Ok, my personal ranking starting at reason number 5….
5. Execute your wedding vision. I absolutely love the design process – using a mood board and colour palette, we then breakdown all areas from the ceremony and reception to bring that vision to life. The flowers and design at the ceremony, to the arrival at the reception, entry to cocktail hour, and all table décor and special supplier requests to suit your style and personality.
4. Avoid costly and time consuming mistakes. We know all the best suppliers and we know how much items and services should cost. This saves you so much time researching, comparing and negotiating.
3. Scheduling. We take care of all supplier contracts and are the point of contact for all questions. We create all schedules and timelines leading up to the wedding and on the actual day. We can accompany or solo attend all walk throughs and meetings on your behalf with suppliers and just relay the decisions needed. No more sitting up to 2am on your laptop figuring out how to write a timeline for all suppliers and day of your wedding.
2. Wedding Planners are about perfection. Every detail matters. We only work with and recommend suppliers that are the best of the best – as they are a reflection on us also. We will make sure all design and layout is perfect, and any special requests you have – we will ensure are carried out.

1. My number one reason to hire a wedding planner will always and forever be – the zero stress for the couple and guests. I have been to countless weddings where the couple have asked family and friends to do the breakdown of tasks that a wedding planner would. And it actually pains me to watch them running around before the ceremony and before the reception carrying out their tasks all dressed up and sweaty. Then human nature comes in as they are trying to get themselves ready as guests for the big day and they forget something or not sure how something needs to be placed – so as the couple are arriving at their reception to speak to guests and have their photos taken – they are getting questions on where items should be etc. Family and friends have a very special place in the planning process – they are the ones who can provide all the personal touches – videos, gifts, speeches, special songs you share for the playlist etc. but the planning of the event is best with a professional who is the point of contact for everything so the couple can just enjoy and be present.
